About The Tour:
Enjoy four stops in the easily walkable, one block area of Arlington Plaza located across the street from the iconic Arlington Theatre on State Street in downtown Santa Barbara’s historic cultural arts district.
Taste food from three locally family owned small businesses in Arlington Plaza, while learning more about each restaurant. Portion sizes are designed to allow room for lunch at the end of the tour, at either of the restaurants, or at any of the recommended restaurants discussed on the tour.
Schedule:
First Stop: breakfast tasting of authentic Hellenic cuisine. Choose either a sweet or savory phyllo.
Second Stop: lunch tasting of Californian cuisine. Choose either a vegetarian or non-vegetarian mini sandwich.

About The Tour:
Located in the Historic Presidio Neighborhood, which is the birthplace of Santa Barbara, you will visit two family owned small businesses that have an outside patio that is the perfect atmosphere for wine tasting. Elegant and historic, Paseo de la Guerra’s portion of the Urban Wine Trail is definitely sure to impress. The vibe is refined and quieter than the Funk Zone’s livelier scene. The tasting rooms are located amongst beautiful Spanish-style bougainvillea draped courtyards, each with their own personality to showcase the different styles of wine.
At our first stop, choose from either a 6 glass all white or 5 glass all red flight.
Here are some tasting notes on the white flight:
– Green-orange pith, sansho pepper and mossy rock aromas make for an earthy entry to the nose. The palate is very grippy and textural, carrying earthy flavors of river stone, sour citrus and crisp apple.
Here are some tasting notes on the red flight:
– Extracted aromas of black plum and pepper spices show on the nose. Dark red cherries, oak smoke, baking spice and cracked pepper show on the cohesive palate.

Starting at the top of the Urban Wine Trail at #37, kick things off with a wine flight of 3 whites and 3 reds from the winemaker’s collection of favorite varietals. Begin your wine journey with a sensory experience where the aromatics takes pinpointing wine notes to the next level. Then we move to the savory food pairing, where you will learn why the proper balance of acid, spice, fruit, and tannins in their 3 Santa Ynez Valley red wines accentuates and complements the elements of the savory bites of the artisanal, Italian 3-part pizza. Each section of the pizza from the sauce to the cheese and its toppings pair perfectly with each of the varietals.
Next take a stroll through historic Downtown Santa Barbara to our final stop. Along the way, your local oenophile guide will point out specific places of interest.
Nestled nicely in the La Arcada Plaza with an attractive wall of wines as a backdrop to a very glam lounge-like tasting room, our second stop #36 begins with a 5 glass traditional wine tasting handcrafted by a Master Sommelier.
